We have finally bit the bullet and started the decorating in the sitting room!
When we moved in, it wasn't really to our taste but we agreed to save up before we started anything. Anyways we've finally started it! Got a new fire to go in, new floor to be laid, new settee and totally stripped bare then redone! Currently it's like living in a building site but it wont be forever!

It's still a bit like a bombsight lol
Managed to get all the Walls stripped today, and luckily underneath must of been recently plastered because there perfect! So that's saved us some work and money Si has got the rest of the week off work so him and FIL are going to get cracking with everything. I'm looking forward to see it coming along!
Will get some before and after photos if I remember!

That's fab news about the walls! Ours are bumpy in places in the living room - it does my head in
What colour scheme have you gone for Jess?
Well I'm still in two minds at the minute. Thinking either purple or black on my main wall. Then keeping the other Walls fairly plain. Need to decide tomorrow though lol!

I went for grey/black/cream on my feature wall then added green rug, cushions & candles etc to add some colour that can be easily changed when I get fed up! Turned out good cos I know if I fancy a change I haven't gotta redecorate
I love purple though, I've got that for my dining room which is my next project
