I always have a book on the go and absolutely hate coming to the end of a book and not having one ready lined-up to read next. I'll read most things though there are some things I hate - Danielle Steele being one of them!!

Have just started a Jody Picoult book called Mercy. Her books are always a good read I find.

I like 'old' as well as 'new' and love ALL Jane Austen books. My fave book of all time is Tess Of The D'Urbervilles. I was 13 nearly 14 when I read it first and I literally read it through the night as I couldn't put it down. Another Thomas Hardy is in my Top 5 - Jude The Obscure which has one of the most shocking and memorable scenes of any book I've ever read.

I also recommend reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night Time - a strange book which gives you an insight into how people with Aspergers think. Maddie has just read the Time Traveller's Wife and Helena is reading it at the moment. Both of them say it's fantastic!

I honestly could go on and on as there're so many books I've read and loved.

What sort of books does everyone else like?

I love all books by Tory Hayden i think she is a fantatsic writer.

I did read a book called Hannah's Gift by Maria Housden. It had me in tears from begining to end. here is a bit about it ...

"During the last year of her life, Hannah was fearless in the way she faced death -- and irrepressibly joyful in the way she approached living. The little girl who wore her favorite red Mary Janes into the operating room changed the life of everyone who came in contact with her. Now, in a lyrical narrative both moving and unforgettable, Maria Housden preserves Hannah's indomitable spirit and offers the gift of her daughter's last year to all of us. A remarkable story remarkably told, Hannah's Gift will bring comfort to anyone touched by loss, and renewed faith in the power of love."

I love books by Rosamunde Pilcher and Sarah Shears (easy read books) but most of my reading these days seem to be parenting books.
My next acquisition has to be Understanding ADHD: Parent's Guide to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Children by Christopher Green which Olivers psychiatrist recommended at his assessment on wednesday so I know what's going on in his head and can help him more.

The Bone Collector is one of my fave books - don't think his most recent books have been as good though!

I usually like chick-lit type books, with a bit of romance, laughter etc in them.
I'm reading a book called 'The love of Her Life' by Harriet Evans atm. I've never heard of her before but this book had some good reviews so I bought it & it's really good! I'm nearly at the end & its only took me a couple of sittings (that's how I know it's a good book) .
I also love Marian Keyes, love loads of hers, my faves are 'The other side of the story' & 'Anybody out there?'. I also like Cecelia Ahern's books, my faves of hers are 'P.S. I love you' & 'If you could see me now'.
Also I had one to review from here which I liked. It was called 'The baby group' by Rowan Coleman, really enjoyed that too!

Can you tell I enjoy reading?

My Favourite book of all time is 'Circle of Friends' by Maeve Binchy.....it really changed my life, I read it when I was in High School....Fantastic!

I LOVE Lyn Andrews as she writes about Liverpool during the war, unputdownable!! I've read all of her books and I can read these in 2 days also!

I have just read a book called 'Bridesmaids' which I found really funny, the author was in our local bookshop so I got it signed too!
I read a book called 'The Xmas Factor' by Annie Sanders not so long ago, this was a really great feel good book. I have this if anyone wants it!

Louise Bagshawe is always a good read, all of her books have been fantastic, you really get lost in the characters and actually think that you're the leading lady!!

BUT.........after COF, my all time faves are the Shopaholic Books by Sophie Kinsella.......I challenge Anyone to read the first one then not go out and buy the next one, then the next one....they are soooooooo addictive! The last one in the series was Shopaholic and Baby......I was reading this and kept thinking 'OMG, I was like that!' and OMG, I did that' You'll really relate to all her books!

Hope I've helped you choose your next read!!!

Love Diyxxxxxxxxxxxxx
