hi just a suggestion would it be possible to have a quit smoking room were there is no critisim for smoking people but a support network were when you feel like you want to stop smoking you can go and get some advice and support
ive tried to with all my pregnancies and am currently trying to stop again i have gone since sunday morning but just had quarter of one as feel so stressed out after my news today
i do think it would help and attract people to use the forum as so many pregnant mums want to quit and ive not been on a single site were there is a dedicated support group for this
i know people who have never smoked will think its silly but for a soker i feel it would be a godsend
hope you will consider
xxxxxxxxxx

I think this is a good idea I smoked from a very young age until I was 7 months pregnant with Monique I did try to give up when I first found out I was pregnant with her but as Sharon has pointed out there is no help or support to stop when pregnant so your basically on your own & its the hardest thing I've ever done thats why it took me so long. This might help & encourage other pregnant ladies to stop if this is what they want to do

yep great idea Sharon, I stopped when I was pregnant with Amelia. I used the patches. I had a glitch when we went on hol last year but Ive been stopped 8 months again now. I cant believe I was so stupid to start again on our hols but I had my first alcohol for god knows how long and it just happened. Now I am a total non smoker again hate the smell. But Richie has been struggling since our hol & has been on & off the ciggys he is now seeing the nurse & on the patches again.

Good Luck Sharon, remember Im here if you need me to give you a kick up the bum [smilie=001_icon16.gif] xxxx

I managed to kick the habit 2 years ago, I had tried and failed so many times.

I used patches and the nicotine inhaler and they worked well for me.

I know exactly how hard it is to quit, some people can quit easily and others really struggle.

I have never smoked, but i think it is a great idea. My parents have just stopped smoking for the third time, so i know how difficult it must be to stop through them.

Hope we get the quit smoking room :D

xx

My dad stopped smoking a year or so ago when he got lung cancer and had a lung removed so couldn't inhale properly any more. Sounds brutal put like that but that's basically the case.
