I bought a washing machine off them in august which broke down after 3 weeks s had it replaced. two weeks after getting my new 1 it broke. anywayn took 3 weeks to get an engineer out who authorised an exchange and said someone would contact me to arrange replacement. after 2 weeks nobody did so i rang back was told to pick a machine and call them to arrange delivery & collection.

anyway been on the phone today and they are refusing to do this unless i go to store to arrange it, i dont have a store near me and i bought it online. ive no idea what im going to do but i am so annoyed

I also hate Comet !! they are rip off merchants

A few years ago my nan brought a tv from them. The tv broke, she went back to comet. they wouldnt do anything because she didnt have the recipt.

The only reason she didnt have a receipt is because the man behind the counter told my nan ( 76 at the time) that the printer wasnt working and they would send it in the post :twisted:

The receipt never turned up !! and as my nan payed cash so bank statement either. the manager came over and said on his systems the tv my nan brought hadnt been sold and the day my nan said she came in !!

It looks like the man who served her had pocketed the money ( over £400) but their was nothing my nan could do.

She did get the tv repaired free but with a receipt she could of had a refund.

I hope you get it sorted

Same here chick so much stress.......Ring head office of the make of the washing machine explain the situation etc and like me i have a new washing machine getting delivered soon......Comet/currys are just a waste of space it's always you have to contact the main dealers..i hope you get it sorted......
