We have three tomato plants growing in our garden: cherry, tumbler and melon.

The warm weather last month has meant that our tomatoes have done really well this year. We still have lots of new flowers growing and many more fruit appearing! :D All together, we reckon we have had at least 15lbs worth of tomoatoes from them! LOADS! we have not had to buy any fresh tomatoes this summer and our tomatoes taste amazing! It's shocking how better homegrown produce tastes in comparison to the supermarket fruit.

There's a marked improvement from last year! Last year, I think we only got a handful of fruit and the skins were really tough. It seems we know what we're doing now!

hehehehe my dad grows his own tomatoes, potatoes, etc and every year it is the same. He eats them solidly for weeks, and still never manages to eat all his produce - and that is with everyone walking past getting a pile of whatever is ready! He has his tomatoes in his greenhouse, which no-one but Ella is allowed into :? go work that one out. Was the same as my Granpa - Heather was the only one allowed in his greenhouse.
xx

I defo need to get planting & growing my own fruit & veggies! I have the space so best get the spade out & start digging! Need to do a bit of research first about what to plant & when etc cos I've probably left it too late to get planting this year... Hmmm, any advice out there?

I can't get Oscar to get one anywhere near his mouth! He loves watering the plants with the hose, he loves picking them, but when you ask him to eat one, he runs!

We've just picked another 3lbs worth off and have to give a load away to Geoff's Mum and partner as we have so many!
