Hi Claire,
I'm so sorry to hear this, I've had PND with Izzy & Josh, and struggled quite bad, I got depressed again after the miscarrages and was dreading it starting again... I guess what I am trying to say is I can empathise with what your saying, I'm not going to say I know what your going through as everyone is different, and the depression has been different for me each time, but I am here if you want to talk... sometimes its easier to type than to speak somehow, and even more so when it isnt someone you really know, and you dont feel will judge you.
Anyway I'm here if I can be any help
PM me if your still there Hun xx

Claire big hugs ((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))) I know you feel like the HV is trying to harrass you but she is just doing her job. Please take any support they offer as it really can make a world of difference. I was stubborn and struggled with my depression for months because I was a mental health worker I kept telling myself I couldnt have a mental health problem. Reality is it hits anyone anytime anywhere. Talk to the HV tell her you are low get medication to help and get referred for counselling. It really will help a lot please dont struggle through alone.xx

Hi Claire
Dont ever feel bad for asking for support and help, you are not a useless mother, just an ill one, and its nothing to be ashamed off, you just need some help, support and medication. I have had depression on and off for 8 years now, once so bad I had to go into hospital, and it was so awful I ended up getting divorced as I was in such a bad way.
You are not alone, its such a difficult, frustrating illness, which unfortunately is still met with ignorance from people, even in 2009.
The main thing is you NEED to get some help hon, for your own peace of mind, and the health and wellbeing of your lovely kids too. Sending you lots of hugs, please speak to someone today xxxx

Claire, I can't add to what the others have said. As much as you think that th HV is hassling you, you need to start talking to her and get some counselling. From what you have just described, you are at the early stages: from here, without help, it is likely to get worse. The worst thing you can do is hide yourself away from everything and bottle it all up. You need to talk and get it all out to begin the recovery process. I can't stress that enough Hon. Please, get some help ASAP. Getting help, does not make you weak, it just makes you human. xxx

Claire, I am so sorry you are feeling so low hun. I have members of my family who've been through bad depression & one of them is very ill with it at the moment. It's a horrible illness, but you can get better from it. You need to talk to your HV though hun & get a bit of help. Even if it's just talking it will make you feel better. Help & medication are nothing to be scared or ashamed of. I know many people who've needed both & have come out of it feeling so much better. Talk to your HV hun, don't go through these feelings alone. We are all here for you if you need anything xxx

At our surgery there are a few different GP's so if your's is the same maybe you could request a different GP, or a different HV even?
