ARGHHHH!!!!
They make me mad! You get through to their help-line and you're sent around the houses. Press 5 for this and 99 for that. You press the one you want and they present you with another 10 options etc. etc. Then they put you on hold and all the time you're paying 0870 rates.
They owe my Mum and Dad about £650 for charges they've overpaid in the past 4 to 5 years. They promised in June they'd get the money back but no sign of it. Sky promised again and apologised in October but still no money. Spoke to them a few days ago and they now say she can't have the money! They take up to 5 days to respond to emails and even if you reply straight back it takes another 3 to 5 days for the next reply. It's absolutely terrible and the worse thing is not being able to speak to the same person all the time.

Hi Kathryn,

That's disgusting! I really sympathise. How can they overcharge and then say they won't give the money back when it's their fault? Grrrrr! They really get my back up!

I've had a similar experience with them when our Sky box started failing. They wanted to charge us £150 for someone to come out and another £100 for a new box! I don't know if it will help your situation, but we threatened to cancel our subscription and they soon backed down and we got the callout and the new box for nothing in the end. They certainly don't like losing customers that's for sure.

I know what you mean about phoning SKY Kathryn....they are the worst in the world to get through to. I hope that you get your mums money sorted soon though, that's a lot of money!

I've spent so many hours now on the phone to them - I'm sick to death of the whole thing!

It's become a point of principle now. Basically they took a monthly subscription from my parents for almost 5 years for a package that became free! Originally, they were going to refund the money but now they've changed their mind.

It's impossible to speak to the same person twice. They have my mum and dad over a barrel really. They know that people must just give up following complaints through because it's such a pain.

Their Customer Service/ Customer Care whatever they want to call it is far from that! They don't care, they don't listen...............

Arghhhh!!

Oh Kathryn...you can't give up now, that's what they expect you to do.

Keep going hunny, like you said, it's a matter of principle now!
