I'm thinking of buying a close baby carrier but at the risk of sounding stupid was wandering how would you keep baby dry if you had 2 go out in the rain.

Hi Claire,

I've seen babywearing rain covers - depending on what type you were looking at the back carriers have big tent like plastic things: http:// shop.babyworld.co.uk/DisplayDetail.aspx?prodid=1743&secid=199 (remember to take out the spaces)
or for front carriers they have big waterproof poncho type things:
www. suseskinder.com/babyraincover.htm (again remember the spaces!)

I was planning on just using an umbrella for occasions when we get caught out as I doubt that I will be wanting to walk about in the rain much - with or without baby!

Emma

I either use a brolly or I have now bought a baby wearing coat.

I used to use a woollen shawl pinned with a brooch, then I got myself a kindercoat which was good but TBH an umbrella is better for keeping rain off.
