I am really dreading this weaning business with ethan. Kyla was really difficult and didn't want to try anything at all! She gagged on fromage frais and jelly and wouldn't drink any water or juice until she was over a year old.
I was really excited when i first started weaning her but it takes sooo long! I'm gonna be stuck in front of a whinging baby for months now

Aww, i'm sorry to hear what a tough time you had with Kyla. But no 2 kids are the same & Ethan may wolf it all down (esp if he's anything like my 3 boys - it could be a boy thing ) How old is he now? If he's not showing the signs of wanting to do it yet I'd leave him a bit. You could always try baby led weaning too, instead of the pureed stuff. I did this with Lucas & Zac & it was really easy. Just loads of finger foods for them to get used to doing stuff themselves. They don't have to eat much of it as its just more the getting used to it that they need to do. Also if you all sit down together & he sees Kyla eating her food he will probably be more inclined to want to join in

Try not to stress out hun, that will just add to the feeling of dread. As everyone has said no 2 kids are the same and if he sees Kyla eating he could want to copy. I found having older kids around made things like weaning and potty training much easier because they wanted to copy their siblings, rather than wanting to copy mum & dad.
