Post subject:  Ageing badly..

Ok, this is gonna sound really vain, but Its really bothering me so Im gonna go with it anyway.

I am 31 years old, and although not horiffically ugly with a face like a burst bin bag, and granted I have got new hair which makes me look loads better. The problem is, WRINKLES.
Now, before you all shout at me, I am very concious of them. I am not talking about the odd crows foot either, I am talking MASSIVE TURKEY VULTURE FOOTPRINTS! And round my mouth too, although I dont know what they are called.
Now I dont smoke, and I always choose a decent (fecking expensive actually) face cream, wash my face at night, drink (LOADS) of water, and try and not drink too much alcohol. I wear sunglasses and suncream, and use an eye cream and caffeine concealer. So why do I still look like an elephants ass?

I have asked my friends to be honest with me, and a few of them have reluctanly and uncomfortably been honest with me and said "its just cos of your skin - its fair"!!!!!! Now while I am all for honesty, unfortunately this confirmation of what I am seeing does nothing for my self esteem.
What can I do to minimise this apart from what Im doing now.
I also try and get at least 8 hours sleep in. dont always manage it, but try. The dark circles are terrible and my eyes look sunken in. Could I be allergic to anything, or is that just a ridiculous thing to say?? And wishful thinking at that?

Help me please, I am very upset about all this :(
What am I supposed to do?

Firstly, PMSL at the 'elephant's ass'! There's no way on the planet your face looks that bad, have you ever seen one?

You're already doing all the right things, BUT, stress kick-starts the ageing process, and accelerates it, the higher the stress levels, the older you will look. It's a fact. So whether it's stress from a poor diet, cigarettes, too much alcohol and drugs, or psychological/biological/physical stress, the liklihood is that you are likely to look a lot older than your actual biological age.

Now, seeing as you're alreday doing all the right things by trying to get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, and look after yourself, I think it's time you went and bought yourself some aloe vera gel and perhaps even some aloe propolis cream. I can sit here and bang on about how wonderful both products are all day long, aloe vera is just miraculous. I used to wear expensive moisturising creams too, but with all this hot weather, I've just been using aloe vera gel and and sun screen. With my hayfever being as bad as it is, I haven't worn any make-up for 2 weeks either, so have been going around bare-faced. However, as my skin looks so good, not wearing any make up doesn't bother me, whereas, pre-aloe vera, it really did! Suffice is to say, that despite restless/sleepless nights, the stress of life in general and every other factor that causes stress (Oscar namely! lol), my skin looks good!

Go and get yourself some and use both products night and day for a month. There WILL be a vast improvement and reduction in the visiblity of your wrinkles, if not, I'll eat my hat! If it got rid of all the wrinkles I had on my face caused by 12 yeras of smoking, it will get rid of yours too! :D

Above all else Vicki, look after yourself, treat yourself once in a while for a change to help you relax. You deserve to. :D

Yeah but we all know black don't crack! You'll look 50 when you're 90 woman!!!
I'm with you on the salt & pepper hair, although mine looks more like a badger on my head!!

PMSL at you, you just make me laugh. So, if I ditch the lancome, and use aloe vera, can you recommend the one that you use? What is it called and where can I get it? I know aloe vera soothes the skin so its def worth a try and like you say if its helped with smoking wrinkles, then it must be good
Thanks xx
