After selling some old baby stuff on ebay - my stage 1 car seats, and Maxi cosi Axiss (I love that car seat but it doesn't fit in the car when I need 2 of them plus Ella) I arranged for a courier to pick them up.
So they were due on Tuesday. I arranged with mum to collect Ella and take her to nursery while I stayed in all day with the twins. By 3.30 no sign so phoned mum to pick Ella up from nursery too. At 5.20 got Neil to collect Ella from mum on his way home as still no sign of the courier.
9pm came and went and nothing. So I contacted parcel2go, who claim the courier attempted collection but i refused to answer the door! No-one came to my door, in fact at the time they are stating I was standing at the window, and no Yodel van came into the street.
I contacted the other firm -interparcel, yesterday and discovered they were using Yodel too, and it had attempted to collect at the same time.
Both companies have called me an outright liar, and it is my fault I never answered the door. My street is a dead end just at my house, and I have a communal driveway, with a private road leading to another 12 houses to my side. I can see everything that comes or goes in the street! Nothing came up the street and I never got a card saying they tried to collect. What's worse if they had driven to my house they would have seen i was in - me standing at window is a give away, but a 63 inch plasma tv showing playhouse disney is another!!!!!!!!!!!
I am soooooooooooooooo angry and now have to arrange another day for interparcel to collect, so another day where mum has to come collect Ella, and pick her up from nursery and get someone to bring her home, where Yodel may or may not appear to collect the item!!!! parcel2go, arranged for it to be transferred to TNT on next day delivery, but I had to drive out to Bellshill to drop it off so a total inconveince!
Sorry ladies but needed to rant, and to warn if you use Yodel as a courier they are a shoddy mob. I have emailed Yodel, who as yet have ignored my email.
xx

What a nightmare! Ive had this happen to me before, my house is really hard to find and doesnt show up on the satnav- I cant remember what company it was but remember going mental at them as they had my phone number and could have rung for directions! I hope you get something sorted, and that they respond to your email and apologise for running such a rubbish service and causing you so much inconvenience! :x

Driver pulling a ruddy fast one, obviously wanted to finish early, or couldn't be arsed trying to find your house (not that it's hard to flippin' well find anyway!)
Makes you laugh when they say no-one was in but you have no proof they even attempted to pick anything up. Most company's put something through your door letting you know they did try to collect/deliver something.
If parcel2go changed to TNT, then TNT should come and pick the ruddy thing up, why the hell should you have to go to friggin' Bellshill? to drop it off, it's s freakin' courier service FFS!!

Don't get me started on Yodel. I hate them with a passion. They have done this to me on a few occasions & not left a card (which would be proof they had tried at least!). My friend also had the same happen to her last week. It's so annoying when you have waited in all day to then be told you're basically a liar! That firm is absolute crud!.... Rant over

Yes don't get me started on Yodel either !!!!, they are a nightmare and also used that line on me ! "Tried to collect and no answer" It has actually gotten to the stage were I actually stopped using retailers who use this firm :x In my experience Parcel force/Royal Mail and TNT the couriers that are on a fixed wage and not self employed and getting paid per job are more reliable and professional

They turned up! *does happy dance*
Was getting wee bean bag chairs for twins birthday and got message just after the rant about yodel not turning up and guess who was delivering the chairs? Much to my surprise they still attempted delivery :)
Will not be using them again though that's for sure. Funny how yodel don't reply to complaint emails isn't it

Keyboard has arrived, phew!! To be honest, after watching Watchdog, it's the couriers more than the actual company, they need to research who is delivering their stuff a bit better! One courier threw, yes threw, an xbox over a garden gate! Another said two mobile phones had been delivered and signed for, when they hadn't. Houseowner had CCTV and actually had the courier on film trying to deliver them and when there was no reply you can see him returning to his car still holding the boxes!
