I was just wondering. So far we have no holiday plans yet. For the past 6 years we have been taking my step-d on holiday but she was 4 the first time we took her. Now that we have the baby I was wondering what do we do with bottles and feeds if we stay in a hotel? I don't have a steriliser as we use a dishwasher. Is there such thing as a travel one? I make and freeze all her food at the mo but could use jars for a week but what about the spoons? I have seen so many people on holidays with babies but have never given it a second though.

You can get travel sterilisers, somebody I know uses them when she goes on holiday. You just use them with water and they do their job lol! As for eating, just take jars and normal spoons. Make sure the spoons are sterilised too or just even ran over with clean boiling water.

Depends what age you baby is. We stopped sterilising Ella's bottles when she was 10 months. Moved house and never unpacked the steriliser. Twin still getting it sterilised and 10 months tom - but they were premies so will no doubt stop soon with that too. We dont sterilise cups, plates or spoons etc. Once they crawling about there is no really any need to sterilise everything - lets be honest they put everything they can find in their mouth.
When we go in July, I am fully hoping twins off bottles completely - or at least they will be forced to be teehee. Also they now eat what we do - just cut up a lot more so no need to worry about food.
Some bottles are self sterising - we have Mam ones that are. Stick in microwave for 3 minutes and done. Worth looking into that??

Thank you. Kayla is only 5 months at the mo. Might be going away in June when she is 10 months. March was our other chance but I don't think that will happen and by June she will be older and it will be easier as she will be eating more of what we are...hopefully
