I am feeling a bit down today. I know I shouldn't as I am now a Mum to a gorgeous boy etc....

I am going to be on my own from this Friday, as Giovanni has to go back over to Italy :( :( He said he is going to quit his job (catering industry) and then come over to be with me and Alessandro, as his priorities have changed. I just hope he can get employment over here, so I will keep an eye out for him.

I knew he had to go back over soon, but it's going to be a long 3 weeks without him. I'm so glad I've got
family close by to help out/give support as otherwise I'd go completely crazy!

I have decided to delay visitors until next week, except for my family, as I want to spend the time with Gio before he leaves.

Aww poor you. Sounds like a touch of the baby blues, hormones all over the place don't help.

3 weeks isn't really a long time, it will be like that for you but you are lucky to have such a good support network around you. I know its totally different but u remember when Si went back to work after 2 weeks paternity leave off and I remember thinking well what will I do, how will I cope etc but I managed. Me and Lewis settled into our own little routine.
I think it's a good idea to delay guests and visitors until next week because like you say it gives you more time with Gio, and then next week at least seeing people will take your mind off things for a while.

Keep smiling :D

Poor you, but agree with Jess and Sam that 3 weeks will fly by and Gio will be home with you both very soon :)
Visitors will understand you want to be with Gio till he goes, and best they wait anyway as then you will have lots of company to take your mind of his abscence

We have been talking over tonight.

He isn't too happy about going for so long and he doesn't want to see me upset (as I was). He is going to phone his work tomorrow and let them know that he is not going to be coming back and that he is resigning. I don't think it will be too much of a problem, as they were more than happy to allow him to come over for the birth. He says he never imagined that he would feel as much love for us both and that he doesn't want to spend another day without us.

I feel pleased he is staying, as it was so hard keeping in touch through emails and texts before. His English is not that great, but it's getting better... I love his sexy accent though

Now away to feed Alessandro, get him to sleep and then off to bed myself....

A long morning today!!!

Gio has been on the phone to his work to let them know he's resigning, so won't be back. The conversation got quite heated - no idea what was said as it was in Italian. He said his boss wasn't very happy he wants to leave and is not prepared to go back. He told them his priorities have now changed and work is going to take second place for a while. So, he has emailed in his resignation to them. It will take about 4 weeks to go through and then he can find work. It will be a bit of a struggle for us financially, but he has said "no matter where we end up, as long as we are together as a family we can face anything".

I also got a surprise! Once I had finished feeding Alessandro and put him down to sleep, Gio got down on one knee and officially proposed! He had brought over his grandmother's engagement ring and he was just waiting for the right time to ask. I know he asked at the weekend, but now it is official!!!!! :D

Now I am just spending the rest of the day with my gorgeous baby boy and sexy fiance!

Brianna, Gio & Alessandro

Well, he has got a possible job offer.... :D

It's at our local Italian restaurant. The wife of the owner is starting to teach me a bit of Italian. We got talking and she said their Front of House Manager is leaving soon to go back to Italy - and she asked if Giovanni would be interested in taking over (as that is what he was before). He is going in next week to have a talk, but it's all looking very good!. The hours are very suitable as well, plus it's only 20 minutes away from the house.
