Hi All

I've been thinking this over for a while and decided to put thoughts into action!

This week I have launched a website dedicated to parents and families members of children with autism. There is a lot out there from a professional point but there is not much on the parent's side/views. It may well be a bold move that no one takes note of but it's something I have wanted to do and if it helps just 1 person, then I am happy.

Can you take a look and let me know what you think, please?

http://www.dealingwithautism.co.uk/

I'm still putting pages together, bit of a slow process for me

LINK IS ADMIN APPROVED

My 9yr old has Aspergers and adhd combined. Just took a look at your site and think it is great. Its good that someone has came up with infomation that is simple to understand as i know when my son got diagnosed i found it hard to understand and ended up joining groups to find infomation out. He has been diagnosed for 2 yrs and it is only this aug that i got told by his school about PIP (parents in partnership/resbite etc). Im sure your website will be a great help to any parent/career who wants to know infomation x

Have had a quick flick through it and I think its very informative. I have no experience with Autism, so this was a bit of an eye opener for me. Well done to you [smilie=clap.gif]

I had a quick look and just wanted to say that perhaps you need to say that those first steps that you mentioned are not covering the whole spectrum but rather your personal experience. Quite a lot of children on the spectrum actually like to be cuddled. From what I remember from your posts, you believe it is a genetic condition, and I totally agree that in many cases that is so. But there is also a lot of evidence that autism is acquired, and in this case babies are developing absolutely fine and reaching all milestones, and having a good eye contact etc etc
have you seen this link?

If you go to followingvaccinations.com
there is a lot of devastating stories.
