Hi everyone!

I'm due October 13th so figuring that it's all coming round so quickly and I should really start shopping! Thinking about going to The Baby Show in Manchester at the end of August, is anyone else planning on going and getting some bargains?!

I am due October 6th and it will be my 1st baby. Out of interest I was wondering how much information people are receiving from their Mid-wife's. I know the baby's and my health is her interest but would have thought also she would be the one who would give me as much info as she can give, especially being a first time mum. I recently asked about my MATB1, and was told I should be the one I requesting it-if I hadn't checked my paper work from work I'd have never queried it and probably would never have received it. Thankfully I have a sister who has 2 children now, my mum and a friend who I keep asking questions. I recently read my pregnancy book from Aptamil which I also found full of info on what I should have done or be doing, for example antenatal classes which I should now be looking into and booking. I found it quite informative but then wonder if she should be giving me this info or if I should be finding it all out for myself because at the end of the day as a first time Mum I haven't a clue where should be starting.....so all help and guidance is welcome. I am also finding this website helpful and would recommend it to other new Mums, but am interested in others Mums experiences.
