We didn't have a party for Ella's first birthday - just a nice big family dinner. But know a lot of the mummies I went to Baby sensory hired the girl who took our baby sensory class to do their little one's birthday party. She did things like parachute play and some singing etc.

Its my little girls 1st birthday in just over 2 weeks and we are having a party at our local playcentre, it will have a bouncy castle, ball pool and soft play items, we are having it from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, there will be 11 children under the age of 2, plus adult family members.
It is going to be a first birthday princess theme and i cant wait xxx

If you don't have a lot of money I'd stick to having it at home, childproof a room and have a whole load of Riley's toys in it to keep them amused. Kids that age don't get bored easily!
Or if you have a local toddler group ask if it's possible to use their facilities. I know some toddler groups that are held in community centres. church halls etc are happy to let you use their toys for a small fee if you hire the hall.

It's part of the sports and leasure trust, they ave everything, it's 65 for the hall and everything for the 2 hours, plus they clean up at the end! And my mum works for them so discount  X x

Hi,

A party at a play center sounds like a terrific idea. Now I now what I'm gonna do one year from now. :)

Btw I hope Riley had a great party :)

I have decided not to do that. I have rented the church hall. it is carpet good for the little ones, kitchen etc good for the parents for tea and coffee. Going to take all my sons toys, fill the floor with ballons and do pasal pasal to get the mums and dad to join in and just let the kids play. oh and pic-nic lunch, in circel on blanket on floor. going to be great. and its fancy dress for the little ones.
