When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows goes on sale on 21 July, JK Rowling has asked every retailer selling the book to put up a poster for the Madeleine search.
'Ms Rowling, who lived in Portugal for several years, has offered amazing support in the search for Madeleine,' says Gerry McCann on his website www.findmadeleine.com. 'As well as offering a large reward for Madeleine's safe return she has also added information on Madeleine's abduction on her own site with a link back to our homepage.'
Asda feud with Bloomsbury Press over Harry Potter prices
On the subject of JK Rowling's latest book - the last of the series, there has been a dispute over the unreasonable price.
Workers at Asda believe that £17.99 is far too over-priced for a children's book, as the audience it is aimed at simply cannot afford to pay this much. It was suggested that they would sell the novel for just £9. The publishers at Bloomsbury Press are refusing to allow the supermarkets to sell the book at this price.
