The Wilkinet Baby Carrier was designed by a mother to adapt to the changing needs of you and your baby.
The unique tying method of the Wilkinet avoids the strain that a baby’s weight can put on the parent’s neck, back and shoulders. Parents and children, from the tiniest 5lb newborn, right up to a strapping toddler will always be comfortable with Wilkinet.
The baby is carried in a natural sitting position close to the parent’s centre of gravity, securely supported by well padded straps under the thighs and bottom, relieving pressure on their pelvic floor. As baby grows, the carrying position can be altered, from front facing inwards, to front facing outwards, on the hip and even on the parents back – each position being as comfortable as the last!
There are no buckles, straps or other fiddly bits: Buckles can break or ride up the parent’s back, increasing pressure on the vulnerable neck, back and shoulder areas and causing the carrier to instinctively support baby with their arms - negating the point of a sling! Wilkinet works like a wrap around sling but the sleek design means the parent doesn’t battle with swathes of fabric either.
Incidentally, many physios/osteopaths recommend the Wilkinet to post-C-section mums because of the way it takes the baby's weight away from their stomach and onto their legs.

To continue on my voyage of discovery through Ford’s newest range I was to spend some time with the latest Kuga Titanium in its 2.0-litre diesel guise.
