A mother and her two young children were marched off an Easyjet plane because her child's booster seat didn't fit the airline seats. Ann Jordan, 35, was taking the plane from Bristol to Newcastle with her two children, Azrael, 1, and Caleb, 3 months. Having taken a booster seat for Caleb on to the plane, she discovered it wouldn't fit the plane's seats. The lady sitting next to her offered to have Kaleb sit on her lap during take-off and landing. But airline staff vetoed the kind suggestion on child protection grounds. Rather than let the mother and her two small children remain on board, staff insisted she get off the plane. 'It was insulting, not just to me but to the passenger who wanted to help,' Ann told the Daily Mail. 'I was absolutely disgusted. It's political correctness gone mad. I was in tears when they took me off the plane. I felt absolutely humiliated. 'The captain and the cabin crew just would not see sense and compromise. I couldn't believe it. It was just crazy.'
In a statement EasyJet said; 'We appreciate Mrs Jordan's frustration, but these policies and our resulting actions were taken to ensure the safety of her and her children. The safety of our passengers is our top priority, which is why we do not compromise.
