I’m a freelance feature writer who has been asked by the Daily Mirror newspaper to put together an interesting and beautifully photographed piece about children’s names. Maybe your child is called Hope or Faith because it was a long struggle before you had them. Maybe you have called them Destiny because it was meant to be even after many hurdles were overcome. Or maybe it is something like Miracle or Joy- they were never meant to pull through. If your child has a name which reflects their birth in that way, please do get in touch. 6. WHAT'S YOUR TODDLER AFRAID OF?
Hi - I'm writing an article for a national parenting magazine about toddlers' fears and want to include lots of real mums' stories. Tell me what your toddler is afraid of - whether it's ordinary or unusual, I'd love to hear from you. Maybe they hate clowns, balloons or the dark? 8. WANTED: BABY SCIENTISTS
My name is Samantha Hartley and I am assisting in some research into child development at the University of Wales, Bangor, investigating the early stages of play with toys. We are looking for 4-12 month old babies to come and join in. The project has been running for many months now and parents are usually very willing to help out, and interested to find out more about their baby. You, the parent, will be present with the researcher and your baby for the entirety of the session. The session can be arranged at any time to suit your schedule, and we will give you £10 for your time. We will also provide you with written details of the study, a DVD of the session footage, and a certificate for your baby by way of thanks for your involvement.
