Mother of Twins Invents Bumpband
A full time busy mother of twin boys and wife of DJ Graeme Park, Jennifer has come up with a revolutionary and ingenious idea called 'Bumpband' which she feels is going to change the way pregnant women dress in the future.She came up with the idea when she was pregnant and none of her clothes would fit her ever expanding bump. She found maternity wear to be at times, unflattering not to mention sometimes very expensive. She wanted to have the freedom of choice, to be able to wear high street fashions and her own clothes without having to spend a fortune on a new pregnancy wardrobe which, she was only going to wear for a few months. So she used to cut off the bottom of her vest tops and wear them as a layered effect underneath her clothes. As there was nothing like this on the market at the time, she decided to set up 'Bumpband, a fashionable and supportive alternative to maternity wear.

"The boys don't go to nursery. I look after them full time, but I have managed to set up the company during nap times, and after they have gone to bed. I was on the telephone the other day to my manufacturer, phone in one hand and making the boys dinners with the other hand, good job I am ambidextrous! It has been difficult to juggle but worth every minute, especially when I see an order come through or get a call from a magazine who wants to feature my product. I think it is very important for women to express themselves and their ideas, but there are times when you think to yourself that I can't possibly do this as I am far too busy with running a home, looking after children etc. when will I find the time? I am proof you can find the time and it is worth every minute when you start to see your business idea take shape. I call it MUM POWER!"
'Bumpband has taken two years to set up with a lot of research and testing on mums-to-be taking place during that time to make sure the garment fulfills all of its claims.
'Bumpband' is a fashionable alternative to maternity wear but also gives much needed support and lift as well as discretion whilst breast-feeding. The garment can be worn from the very early stages right up until the end of the pregnancy and during the post pregnancy period, the design and fabric have been specially created so that it grows with the wearer for the duration of their pregnancy.
