Fight the Signs of Ageing without going under the Knife
Despite the popularity of TV programmes such as 'Nip Tuck ' and 'Ten Years Younger ', it appears the UK public aren 't huge fans of plastic surgery.

Britons may tune in every week and long to look like the stars of the screen, but a recent survey has shown that over 90% of people who are unhappy with their appearance would not consider going under the surgeon 's knife ¹.

Thankfully, not all solutions to ageing are as drastic as surgery. There are a number of simpler and inexpensive ways to minimise fine lines and wrinkles and consign the crow 's feet to the bird watchers.

Maintaining a regular intake of water and always wearing sunscreen is key alongside a healthy balanced diet. Simply including a few crucial ingredients in meals can provide the supplements vital for the supple skin, bright eyes and soft hair that help give a youthful radiance.

Vitamin A found in oily fish such as pilchards and salmon, regulates skin growth and cell division, as well as promoting cell renewal which can actually reverse the signs of ageing.
Foods such as vegetable oil and nuts are high in Vitamin E which helps to reduce skin inflammations and promote healing.
Powerful B5 found in red meat, eggs and canned beans, is vital for encouraging cell regeneration and stimulating the healing process, helping to combat signs of ageing.
B2 also known as Riboflavin, is a vital requirement for strengthening hair, skin and nails. Increasing your intake of B2 rich foods such as canned asparagus, canned fish, eggs and milk will rapidly help you to feel more confident in your appearance.
Vitamin C, found in oranges and canned strawberries, strengthens capillary walls to give a firmer skin tone and is a key component for collagen production.

Although many foods are capable of helping the skin to look younger, it 's surprising how easy it is to miss these key components out of your diet. Canned Food UK has designed a range of simple and delicious recipes with ingredients that will help provide the anti-ageing vitamins and nutrients.

This quick and simple spinach soufflé is packed with vitamin A and B, both vital components for the skin rejuvenation process, as well as iron which will help put the colour back into cheeks.

Spinach soufflé (Serves 6)
1 x 400g can chopped spinach
300ml can condensed cream of celery soup
1 shallot, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 medium size eggs, separated
75g cooked sliced ham, diced

1. Grease six ramekins with a little butter.
2. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC/350 ºF/gas mark 4.
3. Place the spinach in a sieve over a bowl and squeeze the moisture out of the spinach using a back of fork. Place the spinach onto a thick layer of kitchen paper to absorb the moisture, repeating as necessary to ensure that the spinach is as dry as possible.
4. Heat the oil in a large pan and add the shallots, cook until soft but not coloured.
5. Pour the soup into a pan and heat gently, making sure it doesn 't boil.
6. Add the lemon juice, mustard and seasoning to taste.
7. Remove from the heat and beat in the egg yolks, add the shallots, ham and spinach.
8. Whisk the egg whites until stiff, and then fold them into the spinach mixture.
9. Spoon the mixture into the ramekins and place in the centre of the pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes, until well risen and golden.
Serve immediately.
