The team combine prestigious Scottish hotels and resorts,
baby gurus gleneagles hotel
private suites and luxurious spas with ground-breaking and award-winning preparation for expectant parents. Set up by a midwife and an experienced antenatal childbirth educator their extensive training includes aquanatal instruction, Swedish massage therapy, relaxation for birth and HypnoBirthing ®.

Sonya Murray, director of The Baby Gurus said: “Our real passion is in preparing couples to become empowered parents. Modern mothers come from all walks of life and in our
hotels used by baby gurus
experience many work throughout pregnancy and many have other pressures. We found that above all things time set aside to relax, learn and prepare builds huge confidence in new mothers and secures a network of trust and support for their new role as parents. Fathers also need support and education and this is where our fathers-to-be sessions become invaluable in providing skills and confidence building. ”

The range of venues and hotels for Babymooning weekends is extensive, and in easy reach of airports to ensure immediate wind down and relaxation. Two night courses include options for golf, spas and sports to keep partners happy and usually comprise a welcome meeting with drinks and dinner (with foods specially selected by Chef to appeal to pregnant palates) where Babymooners are briefed on the course.

Using a combination of short presentations,
thebaby gurus
group discussions, and practical skills sessions the two days cover all aspects important to late pregnancy, labour and the early days with your new baby. Talks from other pregnancy and birth specialists including published authors are interspersed throughout the weekend. Groups are limited in numbers so there is ample opportunity for questions and discussions on issues that are important to the individual. There is also an aquanatal exercise programme ideally suited for pregnant women who can build on their confidence and fitness over the weekend.
