measuring 1.75m around her middle! She is virtually immobile as you can imagine. The women of her village in China's northeast Jilin province are all helping her cope with her expanding birth even making her custom-made dresses! Her babies were naturally conceived but doctors have said that there is only a remote chance she will carry them to full term.
Although Chinese Law states that families are only allowed one child, it doesn't relate to multiple births.

July 1978 saw the first birth from a British woman using IVF treatment. Lesley Brown was 29 at the time and had blocked fallopian tubes. Lesley and husband John welcomed their 5lb 12oz little girl Louise on 25 July.

The doctor blamed for the MMR vaccine scare could be prosecuted on 4 charges of professional misconduct. Andrew Wakefield is being investigated after he published a report linking the measles, mumps and rubella jab with autism.

Weighing in at less than one pound at birth, making her Britain's smallest baby, Ruby Angel Dunn is now safely home with her mum and dad. Only 7 inches long, doctors never believed she could survive. Her tiny arm was thinner than her mother's little finger and only 24 hours after the birth, her weight plummeted to 10oz! When she left hospital at just over 4 months, she still only weighed 3lb 3oz - much smaller than the average newborn. Ruby was born when Kerry, her Mum, was only 25 weeks pregnant. Warned that her baby would be too small to survive, Kerry was expecting a stillbirth. Ruby has had over 15 blood transfusions and has even 'died' once, yet MRI scans have just shown that she has not sustained any lasting damage!

No more Measles in Africa! Zimbabwe has virtually eradicated the disease after a successful national immunization campaign giving the jab to children between 6 months and 5 years. This is in stark contrast with Britain, where experts are predicting a measles outbreak. Health experts in the UK are warning that we are in the grip of the worst bout of measles since the combined vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) was introduced 20 years ago. Hundreds of children have caught the potentially fatal disease already this year. Confidence in the triple vaccine plummeted after controversial research linked it with autism and bowel disease.

VAT should be axed on babies' and childrens' suncreams. Superdrug is leading the campaign to force the Treasury to lower the tax on sun lotions, sprays and creams. The new drive follows their success in getting VAT lowered to 5% on all forms of contraception.
