So it looks like the old names like Arthur, Elsie and Frankie are making a big come-back! Below are the top 100 baby names for boys and girls, from a list of 430,000 babies born in 2012 and it seems that Amelia has knocked Olivia from the number one position although for the second year running, Harry is the number 1 boy's name. Generally parents are opting for more traditional names even though there are a few more outlandish names out there. In the Top 100 Girls' Names list Amelia is followed by Olivia, Emily and Jessica. Sophie comes in at number 5, closely followed by Lily, Mia. Ava, Isla and Ruby. Mollie King from The Saturdays, probably has something to do with the name Mollie moving up the list 30 places to 81. Mya, Darcey and Scarlet also made it into the girl’s top 100. The biggest mover in the girls' names list was Elsie which rose 24 places from 95 to 71 and the biggest loser was Kayla which dropped from 70 to 97. In the boys baby names list, Jack was second and Charlie, climbed one place into 3rd postition. Frankie had the biggest rise going from number 81 to 58. The name Hugo also rose a huge 61 places in 2012 and it's to be assumed that 'Made in Chelsea' has a lot to do with this!. Arthur, Tommy and Bobby all climbed the boys' baby names list. And there is a definite growing trend for ‘old man’ names like Alfie, Archie and Freddy. as you can see in the lists below. 2012 HIGHEST CLIMBERS1. Mollie (+30)2. Darcey (+30) 3. Elsie (+24) 4.
