Staying Cool Apartments at The Rotunda are perfect if you need somewhere clean, modern, central and reasonably priced to stay in Birmingham! Birmingham has so much to offer for a short family break from the irresistible Cadbury World to ThinkTank the Birmingham Science Museum to a myriad of other touristy things. The Bullring Shopping Centre is massive and along with The MailBox seems to cover shopping and eating-out options for all the family. Staying in hotels can be a costly business when you're with children and it's such a pain not having a kitchen to make quick packed-lunches for a day out at the museum or snacks in the evening when everyone's got 'the munchies'. Well you can kind of have the best of both worlds if you stay in serviced apartments. We went up to Birmingham for a weekend recently and stayed in the stylish Staying Cool luxury apartments in The Rotunda and we were so impressed. Clubman Apartment
Staying Cool's apartments all have a very contemporary look - high ceilings, white throughout with one feature wall matching the flooring, floor to ceiling glass windows across one entire wall with amazing views and where prints of any kind are evident they have a sort of '60s feel to them. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and I loved the full-size toiletries provided in the trendy bathroom. Even now I'm tempted to
Fresh Coffee & Orange JuiceThe kitchen came complete with a Gaggia coffee machine and fresh coffee from the Urban Coffee Company. Not wanting to spoil the proper coffee with that horrible UHT stuff that hotels provide in those fiddly little pots, Staying Cool thoughtfully provide real milk in the fridge. They even provide delicious Dorset Cereals for breakfast and oranges for the juicer, ready for fresh orange juice in the morning. I can testify that in conjunction with the almond croissants bought from M & S Food just outside the night before, we had a much better breakfast than we have had in most hotels we've ever been to! And because I slept like a baby too, I also woke up more refreshed than in a long time!Staying Cool at The Rotunda is brilliant either for a short break with the kids or just for a night or weekend away without them if your batteries need recharging. Next time we go to Birmingham we'll be staying there. It's a no-brainer! Kathryn Crawford, Editor of TheBabyWebsite July 2012 Share This... | ||||||
