This was our second year in a row on a Siblu holiday and it was fantastic.
After our first great holiday we were very excited but also dubious as to whether it would live up to our previous holiday expectations. As it turns out, we needn't have worried.
This year we decided to try Brittany, and went for the Domaine de Kerlann holiday park. The journey over there was great - we took the Plymouth to Roscoff Ferry, which is 6 hours, but the park is just 1 hour 45 minutes drive the other side, which is perfect when travelling with 3 young children.
We arrived at the site quite late in the evening so the reception was closed, but all our details and keys were left at in a box outside reception so we were able to drive straight in to our mobile home. The caravan itself was spacious and clean with a nice terrace outside containing large table, chairs and sun loungers.
The caravan had everything we could need including microwave, fridge freezer, cooker and a charcoal barbeque outside. It had two good sized bedrooms with a pull out bed in the living room if needed. It had lots of storage space so it didn't feel at all cramped considering there were 5 of us staying there. The main bedroom was even big enough to hold the travel cot. One thing we would have liked to have seen is the beds being made. We were late arriving with 3 tired children, but had to spend time putting all the sheets on the beds before everyone could get some sleep.
Domain de Kerlann itself is a realy great site for families. It has pretty much everything you could hope for to keep the children entertained.Siblu Swimming PoolsThere's a great pool, which has 2 separate parts outdoor. One is really just for swimming, the other is smaller and has a volleyball net in it, and water polo goals, so was a great place to play in the pool. The outdoor pool also has a tube slide next to it. There is also a splash zone next to the pool, which containing lots of different style water cannons, which was great fun for the children. There is also an indoor pool, which had a separate children's paddling pool and a bigger pool for fooling around in. It also has a tube slide next to this. This pool was great for when the weather wasn't so kind, there always seemed to be enough room in the pool even though it was busy, and the queue for the slides were never too long.
There are also lots of playgrounds within the site, we found 3 of them, but I think there were 5 in total. Along with that there's a great sports place, which has a track - used for running, or cycling/scooting, and inside that there's a sports area with basketball hoops and football goals. This was always popular with the older children/teenagers.
There is also mini golf, bike hire, children's clubs, games room and evening entertainment. The evening entertainment in particular was great, they started with games for the children, which all 3 of mine thoroughly enjoyed and ended with a range of cabaret shows/quizzes/variety shows.
We spent part of each day exploring the lovely Brittany area. There is a beautiful coast line, with lovely sandy beaches. There are also lots of small towns nearby which are very picturesque and do really great crepes! The site itself is in a town called Pont-Aven which has lots of art galleries and a really great market which was simply postcard perfect. There is also a farm/zoo nearby in which you are able to walk freely amongst the animals, which wasn't only exciting but at moments scary, especially amongst the antelope. A truly memorable day!!
All in all our Siblu Holiday was again one of the best family holidays we've been on for both relaxation and entertainment. We were not disappointed by Siblu at all for the second year in a row and would recommend it to anyone.
