Introduction
TheBabyWebsite.com is a bright, cheerful, interactive, educational and interesting site for new and expectant parents. We offer unbiased advice along with lots of stuff to make mums and dads smile!

Although still a newish site in relative terms, TheBabyWebsite.com is aiming to be the first name to spring to mind when a pregnant Mum first starts ‘surfing’ for information. As you can see from our figures, we're well on the way to achieving our aim.

With our domain name and our content we have the brand and we have the vision. All we need to help us achieve our objectives is get the support of the business community. This support will be generously rewarded by the potential return. The “family” market is our market. We aren’t aiming at other niches. Our site has several avenues through which readers can feed-back their thoughts to both us and the other readers: We have a Product Review section, where real-time reviews of varying products ranging from holidays to nappy rash cream to cars to toys, to nappies can be posted on the site. This extends to our Product Testing Forum.

Our members love getting a freebie and most incentives posted on our site achieve a good take-up. Our actual numbers at present are by no means exceptional, but we are very confident of the success of our forthcoming promotions. From our existing 3.5 million hits and 550,000 page impressions per month, we hope to build readership to many times these figures.

We have NEVER received negative feedback! All comments received, from both consumer and trade, have praised and congratulated our “fresh” and new approach and look.

We can offer companies extensive editorial and Advertorial features along with very reasonably priced sponsorship opportunities. We have over 1,500 editorial and content pages already, and this is increasing at a remarkably fast rate. There are tens of thousands of Forum Pages currently in use.

Being brutally honest, we are a NEW site; we do not have huge financial resources at our disposal, we do not have large teams of media, sales and marketing people at our disposal, we do not have the clout that some of our competitor sites have…. YET! But we DO have the vision and drive to succeed and the knowledge and experience. The fact of the matter is that we are working wholeheartedly towards increasing our reader numbers. We have held-off any major publicity campaign because we wanted to ensure we had a stable, glitch-free and feature-packed site before going ahead. This will ensure that any new readers we reach will now have a much greater desire to stay with our site. We could have chosen to market aggressively from Day-1, but decided against it due to the potential losses of readers we could have had resulting from a content-light site.

We haven't got a definitive media pack at the moment due to the very dynamic nature of our visitor numbers but currently negotiate ad-hoc arrangements with individual companies. Panels, buttons, skyscrapers, banners and MPUs can all be booked.

You, the advertiser, wants to target families - TheBabyWebsite.com needs support and sponsorship to be able to accelerate their objectives. Without blowing our own trumpet too much, we feel we can offer one of the best targeted and most enthusiastic portals for the campaign that you could hope to find. We cannot prove that on past statistics because of our relative “youth” in the baby websites niche, but we can only say that if you have faith in our abilities, we will offer you a service you will be more than happy with.



Prices / Costs etc….

Adverts

Banner ads (468 x 60) £8 cpm
Sky-scrapers (120 x 600)…..£12 cpm.
An MPU (300 x 250)………...£12 cpm
Button ads……£4 cpm

cpm = cost per thousand page impressions so if you want your banner to be shown 50,000 times, it will cost (50 x 8) £400.

Ads can also be bought for a fixed price for a fixed time if you'd prefer.

First time advertisers will pay for their first advertisement in advance. All subsequent ads will be invoiced at the commencement of the campaign and companies will have 10 days, from the date of invoice, to pay.

Competitions

Competitions are completely free to run on thebabywebsite.com. We have a very high response to our competitions. This is a tremendous form of data-capture for you! Minimum prize value is £100 and we need two paragraphs of copy and 3 images to get started!

Sponsorship

Sponsorship of an entire section, such as The Forum, Features, Bump Timeline, Competitions etc is possible too. Sponsorship would involve branding throughout the section - so a logo and link on every page of the section. For example in the Competition Section, there are generally around 25 new competitions , the Winners page and the ‘Thank You for Entering’ page. You would have a logo and link-through to one of your own advertorials on the site and/or your own site. Payment is negotiated on an annual basis.

Newsletter Sponsorship

Sponsor our monthly newsletter: This goes out to around 9,000 registered pted-in members and over 500 businesses. This number is increasing daily. The newsletter would include a banner ad and an advertorial. This would normally be charged at £200 + VAT

Product Testing

Companies can send products out to members of TheBabyWebsite. Members will then post their reviews in the Product Review section. There is an admin charge of £40 to source the volunteer testers via the Forum, collate the info and create a product review page with a link.



The increase in readership will be very significant over the next few months. With the right media placements and press coverage, we are confident of hitting a seven-figure page impression rate per month in the next three of four months. Once a significant readership has been established, we will publish an official media pack. In the meantime we suggest that companies have confidence in us and to bear with us as we market our site. We are sure your faith in us will be rewarded.
