You or Your Mum could be in with a chance of becoming this year's Football Mum of the Year!
Littlewoods.com has teamed up with real life football mum, Sandra Redknapp and celebrity mum of football-mad boys, Natasha Hamilton to launch a nationwide search for the first ever 'Football Mum of the Year'.
The search for the 2010 Most Valued Parent aka M.V.P comes following research of 3,000 mums stating that 2 in 5 are looking forward to the summer of football as a key time to spend with family. With a third of households preparing to spend extra this summer on the football event, Littlewoods.com is championing the mums who make everyday efforts and sacrifices to ensure their kids enjoy the beautiful game.
The search seeks to unearth the extraordinary stories that mums go to in order to satisfy their families love of the game - from ferrying kids to weekly fixtures, taking coaching badges to run their own club, to washing kit after kit,
Mum of former England star, Jamie Redknapp and wife of Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, Sandra says, "Football has always been very much at the heart of my family life and I can really relate to the challenges mums face in staging a summer of football fever".
Natasha Hamilton adds, "I know just how hard it can be to juggle a busy family life but I'm really looking forward to spending a great time together as a family. To enter, mums can nominate themselves or be nominated by their husband, partner or kids at Football Mum of the Year 2010 explaining in no more than 50 words why they deserve to be awarded the title. The lucky winner will receive 1,000 cash and £1,000 to spend online at Littlewoods.com.
