How To Prevent Baby Crying On A Plane.
Babies cry! We all know that. After all, it is their only means of communicating with you.

So if baby is tired, hungry, thirsty, needs a nappy change, has a sore bottom, is too hot or too cold, or is simply not comfortable, then baby will more than likely cry. If you can easily identify why your baby is crying and you can address the issue there and then, then there is a very good chance that your baby will be happy and won’t feel the need to cry and will either sit quietly or even fall asleep.

The most effective pacifier for almost all babies is being fed, having a clean nappy and being cuddled by a calm and relaxed Mum or Dad. If your baby is nice and relaxed and not overtired before the flight, has been fed and changed, is warm enough (aircraft air
conditioning can make for quite a cold flight!) or kept cool (airports are always warmer than planes), then he should be happy from the outset.

Babies’ ears can often be uncomfortable for a short while after take off and before landing due to the changes in cabin pressure. It's a good idea to either feed your baby during these times, or at least make sure he has a dummy or finger to suck on, the discomfort will be minimised and he is less likely to cry.

As any mum or dad knows, it’s completly normal for a baby to cry, so don't feel 'under pressure' to ‘shut the baby up’ for the sake of other passengers. Forget about other people and concentrate on your baby. If you get all stressed and het up then baby will definitely sense it. By following the tips above, the flight should be relaxed and peaceful enough, even if your little one does make himself heard occasionally to ask for a bit of attention!
