Virgin Keep the Kids Happy on the Train

Virgin Keep the Kids Happy on the Train
Virgin Trains, the leading West Coast rail provider, has engineered a new offering for the younger passengers to make journeys as fun as possible and to ensure the parents also have a hassle free trip.

Based on customer and staff feedback the new and improved range includes Emergency Packs, VKids Corners, and VKids Bags all of which have been designed to improve journeys and make it easier and more fun for all the family.

Emergency Packs:

Containing all parents need including disposable nappies, nappy sacks, baby wipes, baby milk and
VKids Bags
disposable bibs – they will be available in times of emergencies such as during delays and shortages or in case busy parents have forgotten those essentials! Please contact a member of the On Board Team in the case of such an emergency.

VKids Corner:

Located in the corners of platform waiting rooms and including a play table and wall panels the ‘Vkids Corners’ will allow children to play in a safe environment whilst parents relax before boarding the train. The safe areas can be found at: Euston (First Class Lounge), Birmingham International (Platform 4 Waiting room), Coventry (Platform 1 Waiting Room) and Wolverhampton (Platform 1 Waiting Room).

VKidz Bags:

Our award winning Vkidz Bags contain an array
Virgin Kids Corner
of goodies including an activity pack, pencil crayons and stickers to personalize them, the bags guarantee an enjoyable journey for the creative members of the family.

Weekend Upgrade:

Starting 3rd August families travelling on the weekend will be able to upgrade to First Class for £15 per adult and £5 per child (ages 5-16) direct with the Train Manager. Providing access to free Wi-Fi, bigger seats, more legroom, and complimentary refreshments, the weekend upgrade will make the journey more comfortable for all the family.

Says Jim Rowe, Senior Communications Manager Virgin Trains: "We listened to our staff and customers feedback and have created an extensive children's range that caters for all ages both at the station and onboard the train.”

Rowe continues: "As more families avoid jetting away this summer and instead staying and exploring the UK, its more important than ever that we make the journey fun for all the family. Popular destinations include Scotland, London, Manchester and Liverpool, and with extra seats and more frequent services than ever before we are keen to encourage even more people to holiday in the UK and use the train wherever possible”.
