Without using expensive procedures such as artificial insemination, let's face it, no natural method can guarantee you falling pregnant with a specific gender. However, there are at least some factors which are believed to slightly increase the chances of becoming pregnant with either a boy or a girl. So that you understand some of the science behind conception, the sperm from the male is the determining factor when it comes to determining the gender of the baby as it contains both the X chromosome necessary to conceiving a girl and the Y chromosome to conceiving a boy. The sperm that fertilizes the egg ultimately determines the gender of the baby. However, there are numerous other factors involved. The male sperm are fast swimmers but they aren't quite as strong as the female sperm, therefore their life spans are significantly shorter. Although the female sperm is somewhat slower, they are able to survive longer in more hostile conditions. How to conceive a boy:Although there are several natural methods and numerous tips on how to conceive a boy, the most important of all is timing conception exactly on the day of ovulation. The male sperm swims very fast but does not survive for very long. Therefore, having intercourse before ovulation will result in the male sperm weakening or dying off before being given a chance. This increases the chances of conceiving a girl. If you want to conceive a boy naturally, then you need to realise that a woman's vagina is more acidic near the entrance. This is hostile to male sperm. The cervix, however, is more alkaline, which is favorable to the male sperm. With this in mind, you should try deeper penetration that deposits the sperm closer to the cervix so they can reach the egg more quickly. One essential tip when it comes to conceiving a boy is that the male sperm needs to be in a favorable reproductive environment to give it an advantage over the female sperm. This can be done by monitoring the pH levels by using vaginal test strips. If you are attempting to conceive a boy, then it is essential to have a more alkaline environment with a higher pH level. pH1 - 7 is acidic and pH 7-14 is alkaline. When deciding on sexual positions that encourage deep penetration, use your imagination girls, as it also helps for the woman to orgasm as this increases alkaline levels too. There are two ways to raise the overall pH levels and create an environment favorable to male sperm. The first is by changing your diet to include foods high in potassium and sodium. Another way is by douching, which can give faster results. To significantly increase your chances, all these tips to conceive a boy should be used together.
