One Of Irish Sextuplets Dies
One of the first sextuplets to be born in Britain for 26 years has sadly died.

The baby’s parents, Nuala and Austin Conway, were too upset to talk about the death of their daughter Kerrie, who is understood to have died in hospital in Northern Ireland. Mx Clifford, their publicist, confirmed the death however.

The four girls and two boys were born on May 22 and their health has continued to improve since. The babies, who were conceived naturally, were born 14 weeks premature weighing between 1lb 7oz and 2lb 2oz.

2 months ago, 26 year old Mrs Conway called them her “beautiful little miracles” after they were delivered by Caesarean section at Belfast’s Royal Jubilee Maternity Unit with 30 medical staff attending.

The birth of sextuplets is rare, occurring in about one out of 4.5 million pregnancies, and doctors had warned the couple that the babies had only a 50 per cent chance of survival.
