Glamour girl and self-made millionaire Katie Price is the Best Celebrity Mum. Despite dedicating hours to her modelling, becoming a best selling author, and all-round business entrepreneur, Katie still wins the critical acclaim for her biggest role as mum.
The nation loves to hate Katie Price, but the poll of 3,000 mums for TheBabyWebsite proves that many of us secretly admire the way she raises her children Harvey, six, Junior three, and Princess Tiaami, one.
Viewers of Katie and Peter: The Next Chapter get to see how much Katie loves her three children, and how affectionate she is with all of them.
The star also suffered with post-natal depression following the birth of Junior – proving to many that she is human after all. She copes admirably with Harvey’s septo-optic dysplasia, a rare condition which means he is visually impaired and suffers from hormonal deficiencies.
One of the key factors which makes Katie so well respected amongst mums is the fact that her family isn’t ‘perfect’. She copes admirably with her disabled son Harvey, and gives hope to many other families who have to cope with illness or disabilities. And whilst she is a savvy business woman, she rarely travels without her children and has the support of a good family network.”
Second place in the poll goes to former Hearsay singer, pianist and television presenter Mylene Klass.
Klass gave birth to daughter Ava in August 2007, and went on to publish a book about her experiences of being pregnant, entitled "My Bump and Me: From Morning Sickness to Motherhood - An Honest Diary of My Pregnancy".
The star is the envy of mums nationwide, as she was out and about looking radiant and free of baby-weight just six weeks after giving birth.
The third most loveable celebrity mum is mum of six Angelina Jolie. Women across the nation admire the actress’s ability to be so hands on with her twins Knox and Vivienne, three months old, and two-year-old daughter Shiloh, all conceived naturally with Brad Pitt, and adopted children Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.
Fifty five per cent of mums surveyed for TheBabyWebsite said they admired celebrities who don’t rely on nannies to bring up their children, whilst 24 per cent like stars who take their children with them wherever they go. This would explain why celebrities such as Angelina Jolie are so popular with other mums. She and Brad seem to be able to do much of the child care themselves, despite being blockbuster movie stars.
Other celebrities to appear in the top ten include Big Brother presenter Davina McCall, This Morning star Fern Britton, former model Jules Oliver and style icon Victoria Beckham.
