Olivia Tree is one of the country's most wanted babies. She was conceived after a marathon attempt by her parents to get pregnant. Over the course of 10 years, her parents Delina and Simon spent £64,000 on IVF treatments in order to have a baby. They were warned by doctors that they would almost certainly fail and that there was just a five per cent chance of a conception.
To be able to afford the treatment, the couple did hundreds of hours of overtime and remortgaged their house twice.
Speaking to The Times, Mrs Tree said : 'We have had to remortgage the house twice, take out loans and asked our parents to help us financially. I stayed in a job I hated as a cashier manager at the Abbey and Simon worked evenings and weekends just so we had enough money for the IVF. We are so happy. All that time, effort and money was definitely worth it in the end.'
