Phoebe Tallulah's Chocolate Krispie Cakes

Cooking is a great way to spend some time with the children.

It’s good fun and as long as you don't mind mess, it's an ideal way to spend a rainy day. Phoebe Tallulah Smith is pictured here after a cooking-session with her patient Dad.

Chocolate Krispie (or Cornflake) Cakes

Ingredients

150g (6 oz) dark chocolate
2 tablespoons of golden syrup
75g (4 oz) cornflakes (or rice crispy cereal)





Instructions

Bullet Melt the chocolate in a small bowl with the syrup over a bowl of boiling water. When it’s melted, pour it into another bowl as the first one will be too hot for your child to touch.
Bullet Fold the Cornflakes or Rice Krispies into the chocolate mixture until all the flakes are well coated. Now spoon them into paper cases, put the cases onto baking sheets or in bun trays and leave to set in the fridge.
