Food poisoning and diarrhoea can seem even worse when you are pregnant. Here are some tips to avoid getting ill on holiday:
Avoid travelling to areas with low standards of hygiene
Drink only bottled mineral water - don't even use tap water for cleaning your teeth
Ensure all food is cooked thoroughly. Foods to avoid while travelling include salad, shellfish, ice, and dairy products that may not be pasteurised (e.g. certain types of milk, cheese or ice cream).
