The Countess of Wessex and Prince Edward are celebrating the birth of their second child, a boy. The baby who weighed 6lb 2oz was born by caesarean section at the Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey.Sophie and Edward haven't yet named their new baby who is The Queen's 8th grandchild. Talking to reporters outside the hospital, Edward compared this birth favourably to the last emergency labour which almost cost his wife her life, saying it was 'a lot calmer than last time, I’m glad to say'.
He went on to describe the newest addition to his family as 'small cute and cuddly,' but admitted he and Sophie hadn't come up with a name for him yet. ' We didn’t know what we were going to get,' he said. 'You’ve got to get to know the small person who’s just come into the world before you pick a name.'
