Foods to Avoid
There are some foods which you should not give to your baby when he is very young.

BulletToo much salt can be very dangerous for babies because it cannot be processed by their kidneys. You shouldn't let your baby eat salty foods such as cheese or bacon, and don't add it to meals you cook.
BulletAllowing your baby to eat too much sugar encourages a sweet tooth causes dental decay.
BulletHoney contains a lot of sugar so it can cause damage to the teeth. In rare cases, a dangerous bacteria is found in honey can be seriously harmful to children under the age of one.
BulletNuts present a choking risk and also life-threatening allergy in rare cases.

If you decide to introduce solids to your baby when it is younger than six months, you should avoid the following foods:

BulletFish and shellfish
BulletUnpasteurised cheeses
BulletCitrus fruits (including juice).
