 Children spend more time outside and are exposed to an average of three times more sun than adults. Consequently, over a lifetime, most people will receive 80% of their exposure to the sun in their youth
One blistering sunburn in childhood more than doubles a child’s chances of developing skin cancer in later life
No baby under the age of 6 months should be exposed to the sun at all – their skin is too fragile, yet every year, scores of children get sunburn.
